Continental Tyres – the leaders in tyre safety globally – has today announced a partnership with Pacific Telematics to bring a unique product to the Australian transportation market and trucking industry.
Pacific Telematics specialises in telematics solutions across the Australian transport industry and has provided the technology behind the new offer.
Fusing the expertise and technology of each company,Pacific Telematics’ TrailerIQ and TruckIQincorporating ContiPressureCheck™ is the Industry’s newest automatic truck and trailer telematics integration offering.
Powered by Pacific Telematics’ technology, TrailerIQ and TruckIQ utilize ContiPressureCheck™ sensors fitted inside each tyre to provide drivers with real-time information on tyre status. Any irregularity noticed by the driver or fleet manager can be checked and corrected immediately.
The continuous, automatic tyre pressure and temperature monitoring system is designed to reduce overall operating costs and results in lower fuel consumption, reduced risk of tyre-related breakdowns and extended tyre life.
The system covers almost all combinations of fitment, from single axle trailers to six axle vehicle configurations and is suitable for tractors, trailers, buses and coaches.

All tyre sensors are mounted on the tyre inner liner inside a rubber housing (tyre sensor container) and continuously measure the tyre pressure and temperature.
Pacific Telematics will launch this leading range of transport monitoring solutions at this year’s Brisbane Truck Show in May.
